# ASIN402: Amazon data for agents

Base URL: https://asin402.com
Payment: x402 v2, USDC on Base mainnet (eip155:8453). Call an endpoint, receive HTTP 402 with the exact price in the PAYMENT-REQUIRED header, pay with an x402 client, retry. No account or API key.
Failed requests (invalid input 400, no data 404, temporary capacity 503 with Retry-After) are never charged.
Try it free first (no wallet): `GET /api/sample` lists real results for one fixed product (ASIN 0735211299) from each main endpoint, e.g. `https://asin402.com/api/sample/deal-check`.
Marketplaces (`domain`): us (default), uk, de, fr, jp, ca, it, es, in, mx, br.

## Pick the right endpoint

| Need | Call | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Is this price good? Should I buy now or wait? | `GET /api/deal-check?asin=` | $0.02 |
| Is this product worth selling on Amazon? | `GET /api/sell-score?asin=` | $0.10 |
| How much profit selling via FBA at cost X? | `GET /api/fba-profit?asin=&cost=&shipping=` | $0.05 |
| Current price, rank, monthly sales, rating | `GET /api/product?asin=` | $0.005 |
| Full details/history for up to 100 products | `GET /api/data/product?asin=A,B,C` | from $0.005 |
| Products matching a keyword | `GET /api/data/search?term=` | from $0.005 |
| Products matching filters (price, sales, competition…) | `GET/POST /api/data/finder` | from $0.005 |
| Recent price drops | `GET/POST /api/data/deals` | from $0.005 |
| Best sellers in a category | `GET /api/data/bestsellers?category=` | from $0.005 |
| Category ID from a name | `GET /api/data/category-search?term=` | $0.005 |
| Seller details / storefront | `GET /api/data/seller?seller=` | from $0.005 |

Prefer the ready-made answers (`/api/deal-check`, `/api/sell-score`, `/api/fba-profit`) when the user asks a question; use `/api/data/*` when you need raw data.

## Workflows

**Shopping: "Should I buy X?"**
1. If you only have a product name, `GET /api/data/search?term=<name>&history=0` and pick the matching ASIN.
2. `GET /api/deal-check?asin=<ASIN>`. Report `verdict`, `current_price`, `avg_90d` and `reason`.
3. If verdict is `verify_offer`, warn the user the price is abnormally low (possible glitch or unreliable seller).

**Seller research: "Find products I could sell"**
1. Optional: `GET /api/data/category-search?term=<category>` to get a category ID.
2. `POST /api/data/finder` with filters, e.g. `{"rootCategory":[<id>],"current_BUY_BOX_SHIPPING_gte":2000,"current_BUY_BOX_SHIPPING_lte":6000,"monthlySold_gte":300,"totalOfferCount_lte":8,"buyBoxIsAmazon":false,"perPage":50,"sort":[["monthlySold","desc"]]}` (prices in cents). Field reference: https://asin402.com/docs/finder
3. `GET /api/sell-score?asin=` on the top 3-10 candidates; drop anything with score < 50 or Amazon on the listing.
4. `GET /api/fba-profit?asin=&cost=<user cost>` on the survivors; present net profit and ROI.

**Price drops: "What's on sale?"**
`POST /api/data/deals` with `{"priceTypes":[18],"dateRange":0,"sortType":4,"isFilterEnabled":true,"minRating":40,"isRangeEnabled":true,"deltaPercentRange":[25,100]}`. Field reference: https://asin402.com/docs/deals

**Market overview of a category**
`GET /api/data/bestsellers?category=<id>&limit=50`, then `GET /api/data/product?asin=<comma list>&history=0` for details (up to 100 ASINs per call, one payment).

## Tips to keep cost and size down
- Add `history=0` to `/api/data/product` and `/api/data/search` unless you need charts or trends.
- Batch up to 100 ASINs in one `/api/data/product` call instead of many calls.
- `series=BUY_BOX_SHIPPING,SALES_RANK` limits history to what you need; `series=all` returns everything.
- Options `offers`, `buybox`, `rating`, `stock`, `update=0` add cost; the 402 quote shows the exact price first.
- Prices in responses are in currency units (e.g. 24.99) and dates are ISO 8601, unless you request `format=raw`.

## MCP
